Dethleffs motorhomes 2011

Dethleffs 2011 line-up is very broad as usual. Models featured in this article are Advantage, Globe4, Esprit, Magic Edition, and Lifestyle. Standard base is Fiat Ducato with 2,3-litre JTD engine. There are some visually distinctive items through the range: large roof rails and LED fog lights.

Advantage

There are a lot of new floor plans in every body type: T 5701, T 5871, T 6511, I 5701, I 5871, I 6511, A 6971 ja A 6981. The largest over-cab models have double floors.

Globe4

New floor plans in the Globe4 series are: T 5881-4, T 6671-4 ja T 7151-4. All models are low profiles. The lift bed over the kitchen table is available with an electric control mechanism. Interior height under the lift bed is 190 cm.

Esprit integrated

The renewed Esprit integrated vehicles focus on couples. Floor plans are the same as in low profile Esprit’s in previous year. There are 14 floor plans to choose from. The base uses AL-KO, which makes the interior floor completely flat. The standard engine is 2.3-litre JTD and 3-litre engine with an automated gearbox is an option.

Esprits’ have a more rounded nose. It has been constructed from several parts to make it more service friendly. Access to the engine has improved since the previous model. The front bumper is a bit higher than last year. This is a welcome change, since the bumper has scratched a ground quite easily on previous model. Exterior coloring scheme has pastel tones to choose from. There are colors like coffee brown, mint green, and water blue available.

Magic Edition

Magic Edition has Black and Silver models and now there’s a new White model available. The White model is the most affordable Magic Edition and it has fewer accessories as a standard. Some key White accessories are tall fridge, Heki skylight, pilot seat, and alloy wheels. White, Silver, and Black models have the same floor plans.

Lifestyle

Lifestyle is a completely new over cab series. Over cab models have become less popular lately. At least that’s how it seems on motorhome and caravan shows. Thus Dethleffs new Lifestyle is a fresh breeze into this motorhome category. Over cab is often the most convenient motorhome type for families with kids.

There are three floor plans. The smallest one is built on top of Fiat Ducato chassis and the two larger ones utilize AL-KO’s beam structure base. The larger models have sleeping and travel arrangements for 6 persons. The smallest Lifestyle can occupy 4 persons although the total length of the motorhome is under 6 meters.
