Carado has seen over 42000 kilometers of road. I have used it for travelling, but also for daily commuting. I have driven several thousand kilometers in extreme conditions. Last summer was uncommonly hot. Temperature was around +30 Celcius day after day. The heat did not effect on Carado’s performance, but I surely did miss an air conditioning. Previous winter was

Freezing water is a common problem in winter camping. Fresh water tanks are usually located under the seats in motorhomes, so they stay warm when the heating is on. Some caravans may have the fresh water tank inside the gas bottle locker, which is not heated. These caravans are not suitable for winter camping. Most caravans do not have a

Winter camping has some additional challenges and cold start is one of them. The ambient temperature was -22.5 degrees Celsius (-8.5 Fahrenheit) when I tried to start up my Carado. I did not have an electric engine block heater or Webasto or Eber in use. The battery was so cold that it could barely run the start. You can hear

My Carado is now 2 years old and it has seen 33000 kilometers (20500 miles) of road. There have not been any notes in the diary lately. There simply has not been anything to report. The Carado has been in active use all the time also through the winters. I took the motorhome to the Transit service last week. The

Changing a light bulb for the Ford Transit’s headlight can first sound frightening. The van’s manuals instructs to remove the whole light element, which includes all the front facing lights. However, Ford’s engineers have made a good job on the mechanics and it is actually pretty easy to remove the element. A Phillips screwdriver is needed to open up

There’s now 24000 km in Carado’s display and it’s 1.5 years old. When I returned home from my last journey I notices that the third brake light up on the rear wall did not work properly. I took a Phillips screwdriver and opened up the light. It was made by Hella, so I expected a quality product. There were 7

I was walking our dogs one night and noticed that there was a high pitch noise coming out of my motorhome. The noise was not originated from a fire or security alarm. I opened the door and looked under the table. IT was the inverter and there was an orange warning light on. The warning was about low battery voltage.

Motorhome with the length of just 6 meters is quite handy for everyday shopping trips. It fits in most parking lots although the 2.3 meters wide body cannot be squeezed into some narrow spaces. The rear of the motorhome can be reversed slightly over the border. It’s good to be careful though. For example Carado T 135′s waste water tube

My Carado just had a first caravan service. All the joints were inspected and there were no water damages. There was enough sealant and it was in a good condition. The gas system was pressurized to check possible leaks. It was a good customer service that the mechanic changed the gas bottles so that full one is now at the
